The smartphone market is swimming with new phones and everyday that pool is increasing as more brands launch new products. The mid-range segment starts upwards of Rs. 10,000 and it is the most competitive segment of the market. Most companies prefer to launch their smartphones in this price range. The Oppo F17 Pro is a really cool phone for the upper mid-range price point. The phone comes packed with premium features and stellar specs. It is priced at Rs. 22,990. The phone is armed with a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED display that will have a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The phone measures 160.10 x 73.80 x 7.48mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 164.00 grams. The Oppo F17 is a pretty-looking phone and has a very sleek and attractive design and it is available in three distinct colour options of Matte Black, Magic Blue, and Metallic White colours.

The best feature of the phone is the camera I would say. The smartphones sports a quad- camera setup at the rear with a 48- megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, another 8- megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture; a third 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture and finally the fourth and final 2- megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture. For taking selfies, the phone is equipped with a 16-megapixel primary camera with an f/2.4 aperture and a second 2- megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture, well suited to take pictures for a great social media feed.

Coming to the inside of the phone, the Oppo F17 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P95 (MT6779V/CV) processor and come with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card with a dedicated slot. The phone is also said to run ColorOS 7.2 based on Android 10. The Oppo F17 Pro is packed with a decent sized battery of 4000mAh which supports proprietary fast charging. The battery is capable of providing sufficient backup and long hours of usage.

In connectivity options, the Oppo F17 Pro is said to be a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that is made to accept Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. Apart from this there are the basic features of connectivity in the phone that include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, USB Type-C, 3G, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Several sensors are also featured in the smartphone’s build, and these include the accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, proximity sensor, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The Oppo F17 Pro smartphone also supports face unlock feature. The features on the phone do look very impressive and all things considered, it is even priced justly.
