What do you like about the 2 new Dimensity chipsets?
When it comes to gaming, Mediatek chipsets have always given us the very best. It started with the brand’s gaming chipsets for the budget segment- the Helio G series- which is still one of the most popular chipsets that go for when it comes to powering their budget and low mid-range smartphones. Now, if we are talking about my favourite aspects of the ew chipsets, gaming and photography are at the top. I think it’s safe to say that both of the chipsets are properly capable of offering a superior gaming experience. The Dimensity 1200 is a slightly better processor than the Dimensity 1100, but in terms of the GPU, both come with a nine core ARM Mali-G77 GPU. This in turn comes with support for MediaTek’s HyperEngine 3.0 gaming technologies, which is a more advanced version of the brand’s in-house version. The two new chipsets also have support for 5G call and data concurrency, as well as a multi-touch boost for increased touchscreen responsiveness.
The Dimensity 1200 is a fantastic processor when it comes to the ample features it has. There is yet another amazing feature the chipset has. The Mediatek Dimensity 1200 has a penta-core ISP on the SoC that supports up to 200MP image sensors (single), or up to 32MP + 16MP image sensors (dual). The chipset also features staggered 4K HDR video capture for greater dynamic range. On the other hand, the Dimensity 1100’s penta-core ISP supports up to 108MP image sensor (single), or up to 32MP + 16MP image sensors (dual). Both of the 5G processors come with support for AI camera features such as AI Panorama Night Shot, AI Multi-Person Bokeh, AI Noise Reduction, HDR capabilities, and AI-enhanced video playback features such as AI SDR-to-HDR.
