The new Samsung Galaxy A12 is a decent smartphone by Samsung and that is a rare thing to say about mid-range smartphones from the brand. I have nothing against Samsung but generally the better phones by the brands are more towards the higher range in the price spectrum. The Galaxy A12 is actually a decent device from the brand for a much affordable price range. Everyone talks about the device’s 5000mAh big battery and while I agree that it’s the obvious highlight, I think the cameras also deserve some appreciation.

The Samsung Galaxy A12 comes with a quad camera setup for the rear of the device. The Galaxy A12 houses a quad rear camera setup that includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.0 lens, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle shooter, a 2-megapixel macro shooter, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies and your video chat sessions, there is a dedicated 8-megapixel camera sensor at the front with an f/2.2 lens. This I think is a pretty good spec as far as cameras are concerned. Further, the phone is powered by a Mediatek Helio P35 processor and runs on Android 10 with One UI Core 2.5 on top. The Samsung Galaxy A12 features a 6.5-inch HD+ (720x1,600 pixels) TFT Infinity-V Display with a 20:9 aspect ratio.
