This routine helped me overcome my reading slump

So, I had hit a bit of a snag in reading from the start of this year and since I wanted to try and read more books than I read the past year, which was I think around 20–21 books, I was really frustrated. And just because I couldn’t read didn’t mean that I would stop hoarding books. My bookshelf has piled up so high at the moment that I’m actually whether I’d be able to finish reading all the unread books I still have. All of this also resulted in me being really anxious and restless. Have I found a solution then, you might wonder? Yes, kind of. So I have actually started following a reading routine now, and it really is starting to help.

The routine comprises getting up early in the morning and working out a bit. Yes, working out isn’t as far-fetched as it may sound, if you want to clear your head and get your will to read back. I have assigned a dedicated 30 minutes of every day to reading and I have been following it diligently. It’s been a week now and my reading slump is slowly but surely evaporating and I no longer feel restless. Even my reading speed is improving and I’m reading more and more every day. Go ahead, and try it yourselves if you’re struggling!
