I envy people who can binge watch so many shows and still be fully equipped to get on with their work and life in general. Because for me, I’ll either watch a show and forget everything else or not watch at all. I have started The Crown recently and I just finished the first season two days ago. The show is a slow build up but I’m really enjoying it because it is everything I wanted to see in a show about Britain’s redundant royals. I am really looking forward to season three and the entry of Princess Diana because let’s be honest, she’s the only one worthy of being called princess.

I haven’t read any of the biographies that were used as source material so I don’t know how much dramatization has been added to certain incidents and how accurate the tellings are. But it’s worth watching. It’s so ironic how the monarch is the ‘ruler’ but actually ends up being governed and ruled by everyone else. The Queen, as is shown in the series, has literally zero control of her life or decision. She isn’t even treated as a human being but literally the crown, an entity, an object, a relic. Anything but a human with feelings. Even watching them live in that big empty castle and the way they live is suffocating. I can’t even imagine how kids have grown up there. Can’t wait to finish the series soon. Season five is said to come out next year.
