Technical specs of Realme 8S 5G
I really love the Realme 8S and I think for its price segment, it’s a really amazing 5G smartphone. When the phone launched, it created a lot of hype being launched with a brand new mediatek 5G processor, plus with features that are incredible for the offered price point. So I think it’s fair to say that it’s a really impressive device and gives great value for money.
Processor and software- Realme 8s 5G runs on Android 11 with Realme UI 2.0 on top. It is powered by the brand spanking new octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM. In terms of storage, Realme 8s 5G has 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage as standard that is expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card through a dedicated slot. This combination of the 5G processor and the big RAM is pretty good for overall performance as well as some kick ass gaming sessions!
Display- In terms of display, the Realme 8S has a vibrant and big display. It features a 6.5-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,400 pixels) Ultra Smooth display with 90Hz refresh rate which I think is brilliant. The Realme 8S 5G has a hole-punch cut out that holds the selfie camera. The smartphone is available in two distinct colour options of Universe Blue and Universe Purple colour.
Battery- Now, for battery also the Realme 8s 5G is well packed and brings in a massive 5000mAh battery that comes with support for 33W Dart Charge fast charging. There is also an 11V/ 3A charger that is included in the box. Pretty cool.
Camera- In the optics area, Realme 8s 5G houses a really wonderful triple rear camera module that comes with a 64-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens. This is then followed by a 2-megapixel monochrome portrait sensor with an f/2.4 lens and finally a 2-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 macro lens. For selfies and video calls, the Realme 8s 5G comes with a 16-megapixel selfie shooter at the front of the device with an f/2.1 lens.
Connectivity- The Realme 8S is a 5G enabled smartphone that includes all the regular connectivity options like 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port. There are also a number of sensors onboard the smartphone that include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The smartphone has been priced for the mid-range segment so it will not weigh on your wallet too much. Realme 8s 5G is priced at Rs. 17,999 for the 6GB + 128GB storage variant, while its 8GB + 128GB model comes at Rs. 19,999.
