The HP 11a Chromebook G6 EE is one such device that is sure to delight parents of school and college students. Selecting an affordable laptop when your kid is starting college can be a tough task. Mostly because you don’t know all the requirements beforehand. When I was starting college, I had been very confused on what laptop to buy because obviously I didn’t know everything I would be needing it for besides basic assignments. I ended up buying one that actually came in very handy when I had to edit heavy video files, or just write my assignments or even make page layouts. So it’s an important process.

Now the HP 11a Chromebook first of all is a very sturdy device and the company claims as much. This is important because you have to be prepared for the worst when living away from home for the first time. Roommates can be daunting if you are unlucky. Unlike most other Chromebooks which are made from flexy and sometimes flimsy-feeling plastic, the Chromebook 11A G6 EE has been toughened to better withstand everyday knocks and shocks. The brand claims that the Chromebook 11A G6 EE will survive drops on concrete floors from distances of up to 70 cm. Now I wouldn’t advise you to actually drop it on the floor to test, so just take their word for it.

The HP Chromebook 11A G6 EE (6QG64PA) Laptop (AMD Dual Core A4/4 GB/16 GB SSD/Google Chrome) laptop has a 11.6 Inches (29.46 cm) display for your daily needs and for all the work you will do in school. This laptop is powered by MediaTek MT8183 octa-core chip, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The Chromebook 11a is both easy to carry and lightweight at just 16.8 mm thin, and only 2.3 lbs. But don’t be fooled because of its light weight. As I mentioned it is really sturdy. HP claims that the laptop has been designed to pass the MIL-STD-810 U.S, military standard test. So you can guess just how durable it is supposed to be. Also, because these are especially designed for students, the Chromebook is fully competent to withstand typical classroom wear and tear. The rubbery strip around the edges gives the Chromebook 11A G6 EE an extra measure of grip, so that it doesn’t slip from your hold. In terms of battery backup, both MediaTek and HP claim to have sorted that aspect out. HP says you’ll get an impressive 10 hours of power from the Chromebook 11A G6 EE’s battery. The LCD touchscreen displays have a resolution of 1366×768.
