So, like how many times have you thought about waking up early in the morning? And then when the alarm goes off, how many excuses do you quickly make in your head to NOT wake up? Too many times. A lot. I know, I’ve been there and done that too. Waking up early doesn’t make you a better person, unlike what your parents may think or say. If you do however, want to start your day early, just decide why and for what reason. It’s a great habit to make a routine, trust me. And if you do start your day early you definitely will feel more productive and less lethargic throughout the day (but with coffee, ofc). I used to think it was a waste of energy but I was wrong, and getting up early has really paid. If you want to get up early, you might find these tips helpful-

Sleep early: Have an early dinner, and try to get into bed by none-thirty, max by ten. It may be difficult for any former night-owl, but it gets easier.

Make a to-do list: Have a list of things you plan to do after getting up so you don’t feel lost without a purpose and hence, more tempted to go back to bed.

Set an achievable goal (alarm): You know yourself the best so you know it’s not possible to suddenly wake up at five after sleeping till ten every day. Start by getting up by eight and then gradually set earlier alarms.

Keep your phone/alarm away: Most important part- keep your phone/alarm at a place in your room where you’d have to leave the bed completely to reach it. That way when you hear the alarm you would have no choice but to climb out of bed, which is the hardest step, to even switch it off. Once you’re up, the battle is nearly won!
