Standout Helio G35 smartphones this year
The smartphone companies have given us a lot of amazing devices this year and as the year is coming to an end, I would like to mention two budget phones that I really liked this year. The first one is the Poco C3 smartphone which I think is the most affordably priced smartphone that is very well suited for gaming as well. The second one that really impressed me is the newly launched Micromax In 1b smartphone. The In 1b was launched as part of the Indian brand’s recent comeback through its new IN series of smartphones. Micromax launched two smartphones- one for the mid-range segment and the other, the In 1b, for the budget segment and both have been getting a lot of positive reviews which is a pretty big thing for an Indian smartphone brand. So let’s have a quick recap look at the specs of both these phones:
Poco C3: The Poco C3 is one of Poco’s cheapest smartphones in the market with an octa-core MediaTek Helio G35 SoC, paired with up to 4GB of RAM. The Helio G35 is part of MediaTek’s Gseries family of chipsets that are specifically designed for gaming purposes and to offer an incredible gaming experience. However, the G35 while it does support lighter games, it is majorly better suited for overall performance optimization. In design and built, the Poco C3 features a 6.53-inch HD+ (720x1,600 pixels) LCD display with a waterdrop-style notch and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The phone will be available in three distinct colour options of Arctic Blue, Lime Green, and Matte Black colours. The Poco C3 also sports a big battery. The new smartphone comes loaded with a massive 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W fast charging. The Poco C3 comes with a triple rear camera setup. The setup includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture, another 2-megapixel macro sensor with f/2.4 lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 lens. The camera setup is good and looks neat at the back. There is also a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calling at the front of the phone. PRICE: Rs. 7,499
Micromax In 1b: The Micromax In 1B smartphone is the more affordable budget option in the series. There has been a lot of build up and anticipation leading up to the launch of the new series. This marks the official comeback of Micromax in the smartphone market in the country. The Micromax In 1b comes with three distinct colour options of Blue, Green, and Purple colours. The phone measures 164.50 x 75.80 x 8.90mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 188.00 grams. The phone has an octa-core MediaTek Helio G35 SoC, coupled with 2GB of RAM. The phone comes with a solid 5,000mAh battery that supports proprietary fast charging as well. It features a 13-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture at the back. This is followed by a second 2-megapixel camera. The rear camera setup has autofocus. Now, for selfies the smartphone sports an 8-megapixel camera on the front of the phone. PRICE: Rs. 6,999
