Two big companies launched smart TVs recently and we are going to look into some of their features for comparison.

First up is the Motorola Revou 55-inch Ultra HD TV which is the company’s most premium product of the new models that has been launched. The TV is priced in India starting at Rs. 40,999. The new TV runs on Android 10 TV software. The Motorola Smart TV is powered by a MediaTek 1.5GHz CA53 quad-core processor, paired with 2GB of RAM and Mali-G52 GPU. In terms of internal storage in the Smart TVs, the Motorola ZX2 range comes with 16GB worth of storage, while the more premium range of the Motorola Revou series offers upto 32GB of in-built storage. The smart TV supports Dolby Atmos, Dolby Audio, Dolby Studio Sound, Dolby Vision, and HDR 10 support. In connectivity areas both the series by Motorola support dual-band Wi-Fi and integrate a unique feature of Response Time Compensation Engine for motion enhancement. The 55-inch Motorola Revou range of Smart TVs come sporting a spacematic stand that comes with a metal wire finish. The smart TV features a dual-tone Swedish Linen finish, along with an integrated soundbar, plus a razor thin design, and an endless edge display. The 55-inch model of the Revou series comes packed with two speakers and two tweeters with a total sound output of 50W. The other 43-inch model also comes equipped with two speakers but with a total sound output of 24W. For the display aspect, both the TVs feature 91 percent NTSC, a smart contrast dimming, and extra wide colour gamut.

Now the Realme Smart SLED 4K TV was also launched not too long ago. Let’s see some of its specs. Realme’s latest smart TV is being claimed to be the world’s first SLED 4K TV that is designed to bring a flagship-level cinematic experience. The Realme Smart SLED TV 55-inch flaunts a “bezel-less, metal design” in that it offers a thin bezel of 9.5mm. The smart TV features the SLED panel which has been co-developed by Realme and the chief scientist of the SPD technology John Rooymans. The price of the Realme Smart SLED TV is set at Rs. 42,999, though the TV will be available at an introductory price of Rs. 39,999 during its first sale. There is also the Realme 100W soundbar which has been launched by Realme alongside the smart TV. The soundbar is the first from Realme in the market and comes with a 40W subwoofer and includes 60W full-range speakers.

The Realme Smart SLED TV 55-inch comes powered by a quad-core MediaTek SoC that has a 1.2GHz Cortex-A55 CPU, paired with Mali-470 MP3 GPU and 16GB of onboard storage. With MediaTek performance reliability is pretty much guaranteed and their smart TV chips have been top-tier. The Realme Smart SLED TV also includes a 24W quad stereo speaker system along with Dolby Audio technology. Realme has also given a native colour tuning on the Smart SLED TV that works alongside the built-in Chroma Boost Picture Engine to optimise colour production. The smart TV also comes with seven display modes which are called Standard, Sport, Game, Vivid, Energy Saving, User, and Movie. The TV has TUV Rheinland certification for low blue light emission.

Both have pretty interesting features for almost similar pricing and I feel personally the Realme Smart SLED TV 55-inch is the one I would go for.
