The mobile market is always adding up new products in its pool. This ever-increasing market only flourishes as well as it does due to its customers and their unending demands. We are always eager to try new technologies and that is one of the reasons why these big mobile companies are always coming out with new and improved products, to feed our curiosity.

As there is a new phone in the mobile market everyday, there are a lot of choices available to the customer. Lots of different companies are coming up with brand new smartphones backed by the latest and best technologies for different price segments of the market. Following on that Xiaomi has launched a new phone aimed at the budget market. Standing at a starting price of Rs. 9,999 the Redmi 9 Prime is Xiaomi’s latest launch. The phone has some definitely great features and is also powered by a very solid MediaTek Helio G80 processor, which the gamers would find a lot favourable to know. The phone backed by the 2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 processor comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 512GB via a microSD card with a dedicated slot. The Redmi 9 Prime runs Android 10 and is packed with a solid 5020mAh non-removable battery which is one of its highlights.

The phone sports a 6.53-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080x2340 pixels at a pixel density of 394PPI along with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. It is available in Mint Green, Sunrise Flare, Matte Black and Space Blue colour options. For cameras, the device has quad-camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary camera with an f/2.2 aperture on the rear along with a second 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture, a third 5-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture and the last 2-megapixel camera. For selfies, the Redmi 9 Prime boasts of an 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture, on the front. The Xiaomi Redmi 9 Prime supports dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) and has dedicated slots for Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. The Redmi 9 Prime smartphone measures 163.32 x 77.01 x 9.10mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 198.00 grams, which doesn’t make it too bulky to handle.

For connectivity options, the Xiaomi Redmi 9 Prime include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, NFC, Infrared, USB Type-C, FM radioWi-Fi Direct, 3G, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India) with active 4G on both SIM cards. The phone also sport a number of sensors such as accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, proximity sensor. The Redmi 9 Prime also has a fingerprint sensor and supports face unlock.

The new Redmi 9 Prime is one of the other smartphones in the budget market that has a lot to offer at a very affordable price. A few years ago, owning a smartphone that could practically solve all our problems was a thought that we could dream of. Now, most people own multiple phones for all their different requirements. Things change rapidly with time and we need to keep up. The Redmi 9 Prime is a very reasonably priced, practical smartphone that will help keep up with the changing times for sure.
