Realme launches its latest smartphone: Realme C12

The Realme C12 was launched recently to a lot of hype. This phone has been anticipated in the market for the longest time and now it has finally launched with some great specifications to boast. With so many options available, it all certainly comes down to price and performance as the crucial deciding factors in buying a smartphone. Talking about performance, the Realme C15 runs on a MediaTek Helio G35 chipset which is backed by an octa-core Cortex A53 processor, running at a clock speed of 2.3GHz. The Helio G35 is designed as a gaming chipset and is known for delivering a powerful and very smooth gaming experience. It is a solid chipset for the overall performance of a smartphone. Besides the processor, the phone is packed with a massive 6000mAh non-removable battery. The phone also supports proprietary fast charging along with a feature called Super Power Saving Mode that is touted to help you sustain 2.9 days without requiring a charger. That is impressive indeed. The Realme C12 is priced at Rs. 7,499 for the single 2GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage variant.

In design terms, the Realme C12 is designed as an upgrade to the Realme C11 that debuted in the country some time ago. The new C12 smartphone comes with a waterdrop-style display notch with a similar design language to the Realme C15, which was also launched very recently. The Realme C12 also sports a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, besides additional sensors like an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor. The phone comes in two solid colour options of Power Silver and Power Blue and also offer support for reverse charging.

The display of the phone is great and features a 6.5-inch HD+ (720x1,600 pixels) display with 20:9 aspect ratio and 88.7 percent screen-to-body ratio. The phone runs Android 10 with the Realme UI on top.

The Realme C12 sports a triple camera setup at the back which includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.2 lens that supports phase-detection autofocus (PDAF). Apart from this, this camera setup also has a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor with an f/2.4 lens plus a 2-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 macro lens. For selfies, the Realme C12 sports a 5-megapixel selfie camera sensor at the front of the device that includes an f/2.4 lens on top. The selfie camera of the Realme C12 supports features including AI Beauty, HDR, Panorama, and Timelapse.

The new Realme C12 smartphone has 32GB of onboard storage that is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card with a dedicated card slot. Connectivity options for the phone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and a Micro-USB port. The Realme C12 measures 164.5x75.9x9.8mm and weighs 209 grams.
