When Vivo launched the Y53S I was a bit apprehensive about the specs but I also like a lot of the specs and features it offers. Like any other thing, the Vivo Y53S smartphone has its fair share of pros and cons. In this blog I will try to state what are the features I think are really amazing and which other could have been better.

PROS

Cameras- There are triple rear cameras and a waterdrop-style display notch. The primary lens is a 64-megapixel sensor with an f/.79 lens. This is then followed along with a 2-megapixel macro shooter and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies and video chats, the Vivo Y53s carries a 16-megapixel selfie camera sensor with an f/2.0 lens.

Display- I like the display of the smartphone. Vivo Y53S features a 6.58-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,400 pixels) display with a standard 60Hz refresh rate along with a 20:9 aspect ratio, and runs Android 11 with Funtouch OS 11.1 on top. The design is simple but decent and the body of the phone is lightweight and easy to handle. Dimensions measure 164x75.46x8.38mm and the phone weighs 190 grams. The Vivo Y53S was launched in the distinct colour options of Deep Sea Blue and Fantastic Rainbow colours.

Battery and performance- The battery is pretty nice. The Y53S packs in a big 5000mAh battery that comes with support for 33W fast charging. The Helio G80 is a decent chipset for overall steady performance. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 SoC, paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, which can be further expanded via microSD card. Vivo has also provided 3GB of ‘extended RAM’ that essentially uses the inbuilt storage for multitasking.

Cons

Price- The Vivo Y53s is likely to face tough competition from the likes of Redmi Note 10 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy M51. The smartphone’s price in India has been set at Rs. 19,490 for the single 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. I really think pricing could have been better if you consider the specs, the phone would have done much better under 15k prince range.

So, this is obviously my personal opinion and looking at it overall, the Vivo Y53S 4G comes with a decent set of features but only thing is that pricing could have been better. There are also regular connectivity options in the phone, including 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port. There are also a number of sensors available on board, which include an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor. The Vivo Y53S smartphone also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
