New Phone Alert: Tecno Camon 16

Tecno’s latest smartphone offering comes in the neatly packed smartphone named the Tecno Camon 16. The newest champ by Tecno comes boasting some really ideal features that you would hope to find in a mid-range smartphone. First of all, with so many smartphones being launched almost every day in the market, the number of products have become uncountable. In such a situation any new phone has to have something worth noticing for it to be a success with the customers. The new Tecno Camon 16 is doing fairly well in that respect.

The news smartphone by Tecno comes loaded with a great big 5000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. The phone is touted to provide a standby time of 29 days, 34 hours calling time, 16 hours Web browsing, 22 hours video playback, 15 hours game playing and 180 hours music playback. The company also claims that the phone fully charges in approximately two hours which is fairly fast and provides air-tight backup.

The new Tecno Camon 16 is introduced in the mid-range market segment and it is priced at Rs. 10,999. Now coming to the internal hardware specifications, the Tecno Camon 16 runs on Android 10-based HiOS 7.0 operating system. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G70 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage. As is well-known, the Helio G70 is a stunning gaming chipset by MediaTek and employs features like the HyperEngine gaming technology to provide a vibrant and seamless gaming experience. The Tecno Camon 16 smartphone is available in a single 4GB RAM + 64GB storage configuration for now.

The Tecno Camon 16 features a 6.8-inch HD+ hole-punch display with 89.1 percent screen-to-body ratio. The phone also comes with a hole-punch display in the front. The new Tecno Camon 16 was launched on October 10 and it will be up for purchase during Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale starting October 16. The phone is going to be available in two distinct colour options of Cloud White and Purist Blue.

Now finally coming to the camera configuration, the Tecno Camon 16 smartphone packs a quad camera setup at the rear with a 64-megapixel primary camera sensor, a 2-megapixel depth of field sensor, another 2-megapixel macro lens, and a final AI lens. The entire camera setup is accompanied by an AI flash. The module is very similar to what is seen on the Tecno Camon 16 Premier which was launched earlier in the global market. Some of the key features in the setup include auto eye focusing, video bokeh, 2K QHD video support, and pro photography modes such as Night Portrait, Super Night Shot, Macro, Body-shaping, 10x Zoom, Slow Motion, and more. For selfies, the Tecno Camon 16 comes armed with a 16-megapixel camera in the front.
