The budget segment has yet again been blessed by a new addition to its ever-growing family of smartphones. Oppo has launched its newest smartphone the Oppo A15 for all the budget buyers. The Oppo A15 price in India starts at Rs. 10,990. The A15 is an entry-level smartphone which comprises some decent features and a reliable processor for good performance overall. The smartphone was launched on 15th October 2020.

The Oppo A15 comes with a 6.52-inch display with a resolution of 720x1600 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The display is clear and sharp and the colours are decently saturated for gaming and watching videos. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 (MT6765) processor. It comes with 3GB of RAM. The MediaTek Helio P35 is a decent chipset for entry-level phones like this one and offers good overall performance and a smooth interface. The Oppo A15 runs Android 10 and is powered by a 4230mAh battery. The battery is decent but could have been better although that would have made the phone bulky. The Oppo A15 measures 164.00 x 75.00 x 8.00mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 175.00 grams. The phone is available in two darker colour options of Dynamic Black and Mystery Blue.

Now coming to the camera configuration of the newly launched smartphone. The Oppo A15 packs a triple camera setup at the rear of the device. The smartphone features a 13-megapixel primary camera, accompanied by a second 2-megapixel camera and a third 2-megapixel camera. For selfies, the Oppo A15 sports a 5-megapixel camera on the front.

The Oppo A15 runs ColorOS 7.2 based on Android 10. The phone comes with an inbuilt storage of 32GB accompanying the 3GB RAM mentioned above. The internal storage can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card. The Oppo A15 is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. The connectivity options on the Oppo A15 include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, Micro-USB, 3G, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). The phone also comes with a number of sensors that includes an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor. The Oppo A15 also supports the face unlock feature.

Looking at the specifications of the phone overall I think it is a pretty decent deal considering the price. There are obviously a lot of other options available in this price range but not everyone is looking for a gaming beast which most of the budget phones claim to be nowadays. So, this smartphone is perfect for anyone looking to buy an overall well performing device with a smooth interface and decent features within a budget.
