New in budget: Tecno Spark 6 Go
Tecno has launched a new smartphone for the budget segment of the market with great features for a very reasonable price tag. The budget buyers would like to know about this new phone as it has all that is needed in a good regular use smartphone. The Tecno Spark 6 Go smartphone was launched on 22nd December 2020. The phone looks well built and sleek in its design, featuring a 6.52-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720x1600 pixels at a pixel density of 269 pixels per inch (ppi) and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The Tecno Spark 6 Go was launched in Aqua Blue, Ice Jadeite, and Mystery White colour variants and comes in a plastic body.
The Spark 6 Go smartphone is marked at a starting price of Rs. 8,699. The smartphone is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio A25 processor and comes coupled with 4GB of RAM and packs 64GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded up to 512GB via microSD card with a dedicated slot. The Mediatek processor is a suitable choice for an entry-level budget smartphone. When it comes to performance the brand can be relied upon to deliver. The Helio A25 also supports some light gaming. The Tecno Spark 6 Go runs Android 10 and is powered by a 5000mAh battery. The battery backup is the highlight of the smartphone for me. The big 5000mAh battery can quite easily last for a sufficiently long period of time on a single charge and does not even make the phone unnecessarily bulky.
Now, coming to the optics of the smartphone: the Tecno Spark 6 Go comes packed with a 13-megapixel primary lens at the back of the device, followed by an AI lens camera. The rear setup comes with autofocus and for the front of the device, there is an 8-megapixel selfie shooter camera. For the price, I would say the camera setup looks decent and the AI lens is a plus.
The Tecno Spark 6 Go smartphone runs HiOS 6.2 based on Android 10. The new smartphone is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) one that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. In terms of physical dimensions, the Tecno Spark 6 Go measures 165.60 x 76.30 x 9.10mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 193.00 grams. In connectivity options, the Tecno Spark 6 Go has all the features that are available in smartphones including Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth v4.20, Micro-USB, 3G, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). The Tecno Spark 6 Go also features some sensors including an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, proximity sensor, and a fingerprint sensor. The Tecno Spark 6 Go supports face unlock. Overall, I would say the Tecno Spark 6 Go is another good budget option to look out for.
