My go-to December movies/books

I think all of us have our favourite set of movies and books that we go to during the Christmas holidays. I for one have a fixed number of books and some movies that are my go to during this time of the year and it has now become almost like a tradition for every year that I do not fail to see through. When the weather gets chilly outside it is only natural to be drawn towards things that give us comfort and warmth. Well, the following books and movies are my comfort givers during this season-

A Christmas Carol- This is one of the very first books that I picked up in the school library while I was fresh in middle school. I have now made it one of my very own fixed traditions to revisit this on Christmas Day. It is definitely my comfort read now. Even the Disney movie with Jim Carrey is a pretty good adaptation and I have watched it a few times too.

Harry Potter series- Need I say more? Just yesterday I started re-reading the Goblet of Fire and now I am well into my Christmas comfort read mode. I alternate between watching the movies and re-reading some of the books, sometimes in order and sometimes just randomly. Also, the Harry Potter 20th anniversary reunion is happening on New Year’s Day so I’m already too excited and looking forward to it.

Love Actually- Call me a sap I don’t care but this movie is my ultimate Holiday go to. Come December and I make sure to watch it at least once. The whole vibe of the movie is so warm and festive that it immediately puts me in a cheerful mood every time I watch it.
