Movie rant: Pagglait
I watched the movie Pagglait two days ago. I actually had zero plans about watching it. When it came out some of my friends said it was a nice story, something different but I seriously didn’t plan on watching. That was two days ago and now that I have watched it I’ll really recommend it.
When it started I thought it was going to be one of those overtly social movies which weren’t impressive but appeared to be. I was actually proven wrong. The movie is about a young girl whose husband dies five months after marriage, and her journey of discovering things about him, as well as herself, which she couldn’t in life. Sanya Malhotra is really terrific and gives a great performance. I am also a big fan of Sheeba Chaddha who plays Malhotra’s mother-in-law in this movie. There is also some incredible performance by Ashutosh Rana and what’s more, it doesn’t scare you! I know bad joke, but I’ll never not be scared of him. I think overall Pagglait does a good job of serving something warm for the heart. You will really find a lot of comfort in this movie, even relate to a lot of it if you’re from North India. Watch it and love it.
