MediaTek Helio G85: Game on!
MediaTek has till now launched seven of its Helio Gseries chipsets that are specifically designed to deliver a fine gaming experience for the mid-ranger and budget smartphones. The MediaTek Helio Gseries chipset family has been making up a storm at the gaming market with its rapid sensing touchscreens and vibrant visuals, making for a rich and realistic gameplay in keeping with the brand’s price-reliability and adherence to great technology. The MediaTek Helio G85 chipset is built on the 12nm fabrication and comes integrated with a combination of two Cortex-A75 cores clocked at up to 2GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 1.8GHz for efficient multitasking. A lot of the specifications of the Helio G85 is similar to its predecessor the Helio G80 like possessing similar CPU configuration with two ARM Cortex-A75 at 2.0GHz and six 1.8GHz A-55 Cortex. Smartphones powered by them are Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, Xiaomi Redmi 10X, Xiaomi Redmi 9, Realme 6i, Realme Narzo 10. But the most important highlight of the Helio G85 is definitely the GPU. The Helio G85 possesses an ARM Mali G52 GPU which can pump up to 1GHz for breakthrough performance to fulfill full-on gaming needs of avid mobile gamers. The Helio G85 supports RAM of up to 8GB of RAM. Diving deeper, the Helio G85 chipset has support for category-7 4G LTE, Dual 4G VoLTE, VoWi-Fi, Full HD+ display with 60Hz refresh rate, Bluetooth 5.0, FM Radio and 802.11ac. In terms of camera features and support, The Helio G85 is perfectly capable of supporting up to two cameras with 16 MP + 16 MP sensors or a single 48 MP sensor. The chipset also boasts of AI power just like the Helio G80, which is to optimise the camera features embedded with AI like object recognition (Google Lens), Smart Photo Album, and scene detection etc.
