MediaTek is one of the fastest growing organisations in the world. The Taiwan based global chipmaker powering over 1.5 billion devices throughout a year, is always ahead of its game by coming up with amazing new technologies and providing customers with very affordable prices.

Various smartphones belonging to well-known brands are powered by MediaTek chips like Realme, Xiaomi, OPPO etc. MediaTek’s Helio G series, especially designed for an enhanced and powerful gaming experience for the budget and mid-ranger smartphones, delivers on expectations. With its rapid sensing touchscreens and vibrant visuals, making for a rich and realistic gameplay, the Helio G series chipset family by MediaTek has made gamers very happy with its performance at the price. The Helio G series comes with a new technology from the brand known as the HyperEngine gaming technology which provides eye-popping images and a lag-free run which makes the gaming experience smooth sailing. This technology boosts the device’s power and does great in tackling graphically challenging games like PUBG and Fortnite which can make even a very high-end device heat up fast. This advanced and very efficient technology by MediaTek powers through even when the gameplay and graphics settings are all maxed out in the smartphone during a game, and it delivers without taking a toll on the phone’s battery life and performance. The MediaTek HyperEngine technology uses AI to consistently deliver a smooth-running gaming experience while managing the phone’s resources. The HyperEngine gaming technology is MediaTek’s one major USP which makes it stand out from the crowd with its smart game solutions on the Helio G70 and G80 making it more than capable of providing a very reliable gaming experience on budget smartphones.

Until now MediaTek has launched seven of its gaming chipsets.

The G70- This one is most ideal for regular high-level gamers. The chip powers smartphones like Realme Narzo 10A, Infinix Note 7, Realme C3. For gaming, an efficient, high-performance Arm Mali-G52 class graphics processor operates up to a speedy 820MHz

G85, G80- Smartphones powered by them are Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, Xiaomi Redmi 10X, Xiaomi Redmi 9, Realme 6i, Realme Narzo 10. Both these chipsets are based on the same 12nm FinFET technology. A lot of their specifications are similar. Like possessing similar CPU configuration with two ARM Cortex-A75 at 2.0GHz and six 1.8GHz A-55 Cortex. Both work in the MediaTek HyperEngine and several AI capabilities in tow.

G25, G35- Both these chipsets are designed specifically for powering the budget smartphones and boosting their gaming experience. Both are equipped with octa-core processors. Smartphones powered- Realme C11, Redmi 9A.

G90 series- The G90 series was one of the very first chipsets produced that focussed on mobile gaming, that include the G90 and the G90T, for the mainstream mid-ranger gaming smartphones. In its steady follow-up, MediaTek has launched others for powering more affordable smartphones, namely Redmi 9, Realme C3, Narzo 10 and Narzo 10A.

MediaTek’s G series could rightly be called the budget gamer’s heaven as even with so many advanced features and edges, the affordability remains relatively easy.
