In the business of chipsets, the two biggest rivals are Qualcomm Snapdragon and MediaTek. However, Snapdragon had a monopoly over the market for many years, MediaTek has taken a coin spin switch with its powerful chipsets. Now the monopoly seems to shake, and the latter brand is earning popularity and stability among smartphone lovers. Both companies have introduced their latest processors. After analyzing all the features of these two, MediaTek Dimensity 9000 plus looks to overshadow its competitor Snapdragon 8 plus Gen 1.

These two chipsets are the most powerful Android Socs till now, and they both have registered some incremental advancements over their respective previous versions.

MediaTek: The Dimensity 9000 plus by MediaTek has made 5% improvements in its CPU performance whereas its GPU performance has been enhanced by 10%. The chipset has brought a stir in the smartphone market by integrating the latest and cutting-edge technologies. It has got the 5th generation gaming technology which is intriguing to gaming enthusiasts. The makers have made just a slight yet smart improvement over the predecessor of the flagship. They have increased the clock speed of the CPU and now it has become 3.2 GHz which was 3.05 GHz. The Taiwanese chipset maker company vaguely claims that the Antutu score is going to be up to 1,029,000, which is a great figure.

Snapdragon: Qualcomm has also stated that this latest processor has 10% better CPU performance than its previous version. They have also claimed that smartphones with this processor will give 50 minutes longer web browsing. The improved battery capacity will provide long hours of gameplay. In a nutshell, it seems that Snapdragon has focused more on sustainability than other features.

On the other hand, MediaTek Dimensity 9000 plus has Imagiq 970 which supports up to a 320MP camera setup. Along with this, a performance-dedicated CPU and the fastest GPU make this processor stand out from its competitors. The camera feature allows the smartphone user to record 4K videos and it has also improved the noise reduction process. Thus, users can click pictures and shoot videos with much lesser noise.

However, the competition is a win-win condition for smartphone lovers. Both companies will try harder to drag their consumers and it will lead them to introduce better technologies that too with an eye on the price segment. Having said that, MediaTek’s flagship chipset seems a better performer.
