Make a good plan to write better

Writing can feel very conflicting and it is by no means an easy task. I am all for free speech but those who so blithely say that writing is easy, just shut up please. If it were, anyone would be a writer. Actually, you know what? I agree. Writing is easy and anyone can write. But not everyone can write well. Good writing is bloody difficult. Even if you are bursting with an idea sometimes, putting it on paper can feel traumatic. Other times you can’t stop, and writing becomes your catharsis. So in order to get work done and be as productive as possible, it’s important to make a balance. For that do these:

Make a routine- It is always good to plan ahead and make a routine. In my personal experience, when you have a set routine you are more likely to write more productively.and with minimum hiccups.

No small breaks- While breaks in between are important for most works, I have learned that sitting for a number of hours and writing at a stretch gives me better results. It’s a very subjective technique I agree and you may be better suited with breaks in between. So try both ways and see what works best for you.

No internet- Switch off your phone’s internet and if you’re writing on a computer, switch off the WiFi. We sometimes go on to look up a word or a phrase and then end up hurtling inside the rabbit hole of the world wide web. No distractions equals better writing.
