Lenovo Chromebook Duet
Buying a proper laptop is an expensive affair. When you are a student you will most definitely need a good system for all your work but sometimes affordable options are a bit tough to find. Lenovo has introduced its Chromebook Duet, also known as the Lenovo IdeaPad Duet outside of the US. The launch date of the Lenovo IdeaPad Duet Chromebook tablet was 6th January 2020 and it is marked at a starting price of 20,999 in India. In terms of specifications, the 2 in 1 detachable tablet comes with a 10.10-inch FHD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. The screen size is compact but also pretty handy and manageable, especially when carrying it around.
The device is powered by a 2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P60T processor and the Chrome OS detachable relies on ARM G72 MP3 graphics. The Lenovo Chromebook duet offers 4GB of RAM plus an internal storage of 64GB. In some sites however, there is also a 128GB variant listed as well. The MediaTek Helio P60T is a very competent processor and boasts of improved power savings, with 25% savings during sustained gaming sessions as well as boasting 12% power savings for overall usage. The chipset also comes with embedded AI features to improve all around performance. Besides being armed with a good processor, the Lenovo IdeaPad Duet Chromebook also boasts of a good 7000mAh battery that gives a pretty good backup and lasts longer than you would expect. The Lenovo IdeaPad Duet Chromebook runs Chrome OS.
In terms of cameras, the Lenovo Chromebook Duet features an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera and a 2-megapixel fixed-focus selfie camera with LED indicator on the front of the device. On the connectivity and ports front, the tablet includes a USB Type-C port (Gen 2), a volume control, a power button and a 5-point pogo pin. Additionally, the device supports 802.11AC and Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. There are sensors on the tablet as well including gyroscope and accelerometer. The Lenovo Chromebook Duet has dual Dolby Audio speakers and smart amplifiers for a good sound experience. The Lenovo IdeaPad Duet Chromebook measures 239.80 x 159.80 x 7.35mm (height x width x thickness) and only the system weighs 450 grams while the tablet paired with full keyboard weighs around 920 grams. The Lenovo IdeaPad Duet Chromebook is available in the colour option of Ice Blue + Iron Grey dual tone colour variant, while the stand cover comes in grey colour. The device also comes with an offer of free 12 months of Google One membership which includes 100GB of storage.
