Is the Realme C15 a good phone?

The definition of a good phone is both universal as well as personal. Essentially, the basic things that make for a good phone are the processor, a good battery, display and camera. The list can go on increasing as you add things that suit your requirements. In this regard, the newly launched Realme C15 is quite a decent smartphone. Launched after much speculation and hype with its companion the Realme C12, this smartphone boasts of a number of good features and ideal specs to consider. With so many options available, it all certainly comes down to price and performance as the crucial deciding factors in buying a smartphone. The Realme C15 runs on a MediaTek Helio G35 chipset which is backed by an octa-core Cortex A53 processor, running at a clock speed of 2.3GHz. The Helio G35 is designed as a gaming chipset and is known for delivering a powerful and very smooth gaming experience. It is a solid chipset for the overall performance of a smartphone. Besides the processor, the phone is packed with a massive 6000mAh non-removable battery and runs Android 10. The phone also supports proprietary fast charging. The price of the smartphone is expected to start from Rs. 10,290.

The Realme C15 smartphone comes with a 6.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720x1600 pixels with a 269 pixel density (ppi).Realme C15 comes with 3GB of RAM with internal storage capacity of 64GB which can be expanded up to 256GB with a microSD card with a dedicated card slot. For the cameras, the Realme C15 boasts of a quad-camera setup and on the rear packs a 13-megapixel primary camera with an f/2.2 aperture; a second 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.25 aperture; a third 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture and a fourth and final 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture. This setup also supports autofocus. For selfies, the device sports an 8-megapixel camera on the front with an f/2.0 aperture. The cameras click good pictures with solid colour balance and vividity. For connectivity options, Realme C15 includes Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, Micro-USB, 3G, and 4G. Additionally, the phone sports sensors including accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor.

The Realme C15 is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. The device measures 164.50 x 75.90 x 9.80mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 209.00 grams which is a bit bulky but the stellar battery performance makes it worth it. The Realme C15 is available in the colours of Marine Blue and Seagull Silver. Overall, I think it’s an ideal buy.
