Is a Kindle e-reader a handy device?
Yes, for sure. I am using the 10th gen Kindle Paperwhite that weighs 174grams and measures 8.7mm in width. This is the best part so I’ll start with it. So, before the pandemic paralyzed us all, I used to travel quite a lot and liked to read on the go. Now, while sometimes for certain places it is okay to pack to our heart’s content but I couldn’t do that all the time and books take up lots of space and make luggage heavy. I am also picky so sometimes I would carry a very heavy book and it would just make it really inconvenient to lug around my heavy bag. With Kindle, that problem is magically solved. With Kindle, you can carry hundreds of books without even sacrificing the space for one medium-sized paperback. So that was the biggest reason for my switch- the lack of portability with physical books.
In battery performance also the device performs pretty well and goes up to a week on a single charge with at least two to three hours of reading, sometimes more, everyday with some purchases from the store as well. This is decently above-average and impressive. Additionally, if I use my Kindle for an hour each day, it won’t need to be charged for more than once every fortnight. In terms of performance, the device uses a mediatek chip and the interface is smooth and there is no lagging in the device at all. The functionality is easy plus when you have a proper internet connection browsing in the Kindle store is absolutely hassle free and otherwise, while reading, the pages load almost instantly, with no noticeable delay when reading text. I think it is an absolutely delightful and completely worthy e-reader to invest your money in.
