I think gaming has truly become an integral part of all our lives, especially these days and when buying a new smartphone most of us have this concern: if the phone is well equipped to handle heavy gaming or not? Now, Micromax made a pretty successful comeback recently with its In series of smartphones. And the two phones in the new series are both powered by Mediatek gaming processors. Like I wrote in my previous post that the In Note 1 is a pretty good phone for gaming, I will say that the Micromax In 1b is also competent, albeit a bit less than the other. The simple reason being the difference in their processors.

The In Note 1 is powered by the Helio G85 gaming chipset by Mediatek which is one of the top gaming chipsets in the market. The In 1b on the other hand is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G35 SoC, coupled with 2GB of RAM which while still being a gaming chipset and fully equipped to support gaming, will not be a fair play to be compared with the Helio G85. The Helio G35 is a strong chipset for overall performance and does quite well in heavy games if you don’t max out the settings constantly. This difference can also be reflected in the pricing of the two phones which is fair.

Now let’s see the specs of the Mediatek Helio G35 processor. The Helio G35 chipset sports an eight ARM Cortex-A55 cores with maximum frequency at 2.3GHz. The Helio G35 chipset is packed with a PowerVR GE8320 GPU clocked at 680MHz with a maximum display resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels. As far as the storage aspect of the chipset, the Helio G35 comes with both LPDDR3 and LPDDR4x RAM up to 6GB and up to 1600MHz. MediaTek Helio G35 being a gaming chipset, is equipped with the MediaTek HyperEngine Gaming Technology which enables the gaming chipset to deliver the best of performance and supports heavy games seamlessly. It enables performance by brilliantly predicting concurrency of Wi-Fi and LTE.

Now, coming to the specs of the In 1B, the dual-SIM (Nano) Micromax In 1B runs on Android 10. The phone features a 6.52-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720x1600 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The phone comes with a solid 5,000mAh battery that supports proprietary fast charging as well. The In 1B smartphone comes with a good set of features integrated. In the budget gaming segment of the mobile market there are a number of phones and now with this latest addition, the young gaming enthusiasts will have an even better option to go for.
