Does the Dimensity 800U support gaming?

The latest in the series is the Dimensity 800U chipset which I have already written about in an earlier post. However, does the Dimensity 800U processor support heavy games like PUBG and Fortnite, which have become immensely popular these days? And the answer is yes. Yes, the Dimensity 800U is more than capable of handling heavy duty games like PUBG and Fortnite with perfect ease. The Dimensity 800U is a brilliant choice for gaming as it employs the more advanced version of the brand’s in-house gaming technology called the HyperEngine 2.0. If we have to get technical, the CPU of the Dimensity 800U has a 4x 2.4 GHz — Cortex-A76 4x 2 GHz — Cortex-A55. The chipset has a 9% higher CPU clock speed than most of its contemporaries, which makes it swifter and more efficient in response. The CPU frequency in the Dimensity 800U is 2400MHz and as for the GPU, Mediatek Dimensity 800U has a Mali-G57 MC3. The Dimensity 800U is additionally capable of supporting an LPDDR4X memory of 12 GB with a frequency of 2133 Mhz. In terms of the bandwidth the Mediatek processor runs on 17.7 Gb/s.
The CPU and internal specs make it clear that when it comes to performance, the Dimensity 800U is well capable of providing a smooth and lag-free run, which are the essential requirements for a great gaming performance. The Bluetooth in the Dimensity 800U is 5.1 and in terms of navigation, it has been integrated with GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, Galileo, QZSS. Gaming performance as well as overall performance of the processor is pretty powerful simply looking at the specs. The Dimensity 800U is soon set to release in India integrated with the Realme X7 smartphone which will then shed more light on the performance power of the chipset.
