Dimensity 1200 is finally here packed in a smartphone!

Finally, the Mediatek Dimensity 1200 is launching in a smartphone and it will soon be available for purchase. The powerful chipset is debuting with the realme X7 Max 5G smartphone, and I’m really looking forward to its performance. Let’s look at some features of the 5G chipset.

The Dimensity 1200 has features like MediaTek APU 3.0 for AI computing(APU on 1200 chipset has 10% more performance), MediaTek HyperEngine 3.0 gaming tech support, 5G call and data concurrency, multi-touch boost, ray tracing in games and AR apps, and super hotspot power savings. The Dimensity 1200 is built on a 6nm process. The Dimensity 1200 is a more premium chipset than the Dimensity 1100 and the specs have a slight edge over the latter. In CPU it features ARM Cortex-A (1x Ultra-Core Cortex-A78 clocked up to 3.0GHz, 3x Cortex-A78 Super Cores clocked up to 2.6GHz, 4x Cortex-A55 power-efficiency cores clocked up to 2.0GHz). In GPU, the specs are pretty great as well. The chipset features ARM Mali G77 MC9 nine-core GPU. In RAM it features 4xLPDDR4x and it is clocked at a speed of 2133MHz. In storage there is 2-lane UFS 3.1.

The Dimensity 1200 supports 168Hz refresh rate at FHD+ resolution. It also comes with support for HDR10+ video playback and hardware-accelerated AV1 video decoding. I have high hopes from this smartphone and this processor.
