Everyone takes selfies or dabble in phone photography these days, it’s almost a rite of passage now. So it’s only fair that we also know about budget smartphones that offer good selfie cameras. In this blog you will see two of Tecno’s major camera-centric smartphones that everyone likes.

Tecno Camon 17 Pro- I really love the camera specs of the phone. The Tecno Camon 17 Pro model flaunts a quad rear camera setup that includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel bokeh, and finally a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor. There is an impressive 48-megapixel ultra-clear selfie camera up front. The Camon 17 Pro features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and dual speakers on board. I think it’s a pretty great smartphone considering these superb specs. The smartphone is integrated with a MediaTek Helio G95 SoC and 8GB RAM which further elevates the overall performance of Tecno Camon 17 Pro.

Tecno Phantom X- The Phantom X is first and foremost a camera-centric smartphone and the elaborate setup is the sole focus of the device, pun intended. The main camera has a 1/1.3” sensor with 50MP resolution. It has fairly large 1.2µm pixels (larger still with binning, 2.4µm), Dual Pixel AF and Laser AF. The 50MP camera comes with a ‘super night mode’ feature on both selfie and rear cameras to help you capture really detailed images in dark environments. There’s also a feature Tecno calls ‘FILM MODE‘. The company claims this will help users take cinematic videos with the Phantom X. Price of the smartphone is decent and it will be sold in Nigeria for N228,000 ($456). Besides the excellent camera, there is a Mediate Helio G95 processor powering the Phantom X.
