The Vivo Y53s is a pretty looking device with a price tag that’s a little higher than what you expect. The specs are decent but price could have been better justified. This 4G offering from Vivo easily has the camera section as its best feature. There are triple rear cameras and a waterdrop-style display notch. The primary lens is a 64-megapixel sensor with an f/.79 lens. This is then followed along with a 2-megapixel macro shooter and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies and video chats, the Vivo Y53s carries a 16-megapixel selfie camera sensor with an f/2.0 lens. I also think instead of a Helio G80, maybe a higher end Helio gaming processor from Mediatek would have fit better. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 SoC, paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, which can be further expanded via microSD card. Vivo has also provided 3GB of ‘extended RAM’ that essentially uses the inbuilt storage for multitasking.

The smartphone features a 6.58-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,400 pixels) display with a standard 60Hz refresh rate along with a 20:9 aspect ratio, and runs Android 11 with Funtouch OS 11.1 on top. The design is a bit tired but the body of the phone is lightweight and easy to handle. Dimensions measure 164x75.46x8.38mm and the phone weighs 190 grams. The Vivo Y53S was launched in the distinct colour options of Deep Sea Blue and Fantastic Rainbow colours. The battery is pretty nice. The Y53S packs in a big 5000mAh battery that comes with support for 33W fast charging.
