The Amazon Fire TV Stick Lite was launched recently with Amazon’s full-HD Fire TV Stick lineup. The Fire TV Stick Lite is the most affordable in the range. It is priced at Rs. 2,999 and the Lite model does not have TV controls on the remote and support for Dolby Atmos, but has the same hardware and software as the Fire TV Stick (3rd Gen). Although this may seem like a drawback but if you are someone who consumes a lot of on-demand content on streaming platforms like Amazon Prime Video, then this product is definitely worth giving a chance. The best part is that it is very affordable. I for one am someone who watches a lot of Amazon Prime and when my brother bought the Fire TV Stick Lite I was a bit apprehensive but it’s actually an amazing asset to have. It is an affordable USB streaming device that has not been offered to consumers with an affordable price aspect.

I think it is a good deal because the Lite version supports HDR, HDR10, HDR10+, HLG, and Dolby Audio. It has a 1.7GHz quad-core Mediatek processor and a strong 8GB storage onboard for app installations. It comes with Bluetooth 5.1 for device connections and dual-band Wi-Fi for streaming content. The device runs via a micro USB port and gets an HDMI port for connections to TVs. The best part about this is that the entire lineup comes with improved voice controls.

So even if the remote control buttons are not there you can always give voice commands to the AI assistant and your work gets done. You can say “Alexa, go to Library” to browse shows. Amazon has also introduced user profiles that deliver a personalized experience for up to six members of a household. Users can switch between profiles by saying “Alexa, switch to my profile.”

With the introduction of this lineup now millions of Fire TV customers in India will have access to faster and better streaming options. This device is especially convenient at this time as we are all confined to our homes and as a result are consuming much more content online than we did otherwise. There are so many categories of movies, shows, kids’ entertainment, and latest news that we can have unlimited access to during these uncertain times. Customers can now get the most out of their TVs with the next-generation Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Stick Lite. It is also a very affordable option so that is the biggest plus.

The Fire TV Stick Lite is 50 percent more powerful than the previous-generation Fire TV Stick, the company claims.
