Buying a smartphone is not an easy business and it’s important that we determine every last factor However, with so many options available in the market, it can be challenging to choose the right smartphone. Here are ten things I like to determine before buying my next smartphone:

  1. Operating System (OS)

One of the most crucial decisions to make when purchasing a smartphone is selecting an operating system. The two most popular operating systems are iOS and Android. iOS is exclusive to Apple’s iPhone, while Android is used by many other smartphone manufacturers. It’s essential to consider which operating system you’re most comfortable with and which offers the features you need.

2. Display Size and Resolution

The display size and resolution are critical factors to consider when purchasing a smartphone. The size of the display determines the overall size of the device, and the resolution affects the clarity and sharpness of the images and videos.

3. Camera Quality

For many people, the camera is one of the most important features of a smartphone. The camera quality varies among smartphones, so it’s important to consider the resolution, aperture, and other features before making a purchase.

4. Storage Capacity

The storage capacity of a smartphone determines how much data you can store on the device, including photos, videos, and apps. It’s important to choose a smartphone with sufficient storage capacity to meet your needs.

5. Battery Life

The battery life of a smartphone is another essential factor to consider. It’s important to choose a device with a battery that can last a full day, even with heavy usage.

6. Processor and RAM

The processor and RAM are critical components that affect the speed and performance of a smartphone. It’s essential to choose a device with a processor and RAM that can handle the tasks you need it to perform. I generally keep myself away from the mediocrity of Qualcomm which just targets high-end phones.

7. Connectivity

Smartphones offer various connectivity options, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular data. It’s important to consider which connectivity options are important to you and ensure that the device you choose offers them.

Conclusion

Finally, choosing the right smartphone can be a daunting task, but considering these seven factors can help make the process easier. Remember to prioritize your needs and preferences and choose a device that meets them within your budget.
