6GB RAM, Helio G80, all under 10k?!
Tecno Pova smartphone was finally launched officially in India on December 4 and it’s like a masterstroke from the brand. The phone was introduced for the budget segment and with all the specs that it has it’s just too good!
In the earlier blog I had already mentioned all that was being speculated about the smartphone. Now, as the device has officially been released, some details like the price and the storage variants have become clearer. Also some features of the other features like the camera setup and its accompanying features have now also become more precise. So, let’s go into it and see finally what the phone is all about!
First of all let us look at the final pricing and see where it stands. The price of the phone starts at Rs. 9,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant, while the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option of the smartphone carries a price tag of Rs. 11,999. It comes in three different colour options that are namely, Dazzle Black, Magic Blue, and Speed Purple. It will be available for purchase on Flipkart from December 11. In the earlier post it was being speculated that the price of the phone will be somewhere around Rs. 10,800 as could be discerned from the market in Nigeria and Philippines where the Tecno Pova smartphone had already been released before India. The website in Philippines had listed the price of the smartphone as PHP 6,999 over there so that roughly converted to Rs. 10,800. It was a close guess and honestly it’s a really good deal that we have got. I don’t think it will be an overstatement if I said that Tecno has outdone itself with the Tecno Pova smartphone.
Other than that only the camera configuration turned out to be slightly different that what was being guessed at. The Tecno Pova comes with a quad rear camera setup for capturing photos and recording videos. The smartphone features a 16-megapixel primary sensor carrying an f/1.85 lens. The camera setup also includes two 2-megapixel sensors for macro and portrait shots — along with a dedicated AI lens. The smartphone additionally sports an 8-megapixel camera sensor fFor selfies and video chats. It is equipped with an f/2.0 lens and supports features including AI Selfie Camera, AI Beauty, Wide Selfie, Night Portrait, AI HDR, and AR Shot, among others. Before the launch, some leaked tips had suggested that the smartphone features a quad rear camera setup that includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor, also including two 2-megapixel sensors as well.
All of the other specifications and features like the RAM, MediaTek Helio G80 gaming chipset, 6000mAh battery etc. are all as it had been speculated. Do you think it’s the best budget smartphone yet? I am actually convinced it’s as close as it gets.
